The General Meeting of the MLA for July commenced @ 12:10 pm on
July 17, 2007 (Lighthouse Limousine) provided a delicious luncheon for all to enjoy.
The following topics were discussed.
VP) went over the Treasury report, and stated that there was 20,096.35 in the account and 11,000.00 was from our first golf tournament.
VP) talked about the MLA has 8 new members.
VP) talked about the status of our MLA dues and that we are looking good but their a few larger companies that need to pay.
VP) spoke about BWI and there has not been any changes made yet. Except that we can no longer use the cell phone lot.
VP) spoke about the day on the hill that was on June 5th 2007 and was very pleased that we as the MLA had 16 members present that day.
VP) talked about forming a group to have our first day on the hill in Annapolis she also stated that we need to form a committee to take charge of this event and make it happen.
Joan Silverman) voted Ron Brooks to head up the committee to take to Annapolis for our day on the hill
VP) stated that the MLA will be attending the upcoming LCT show and at that show we will be giving a $250.00 donation to Congressman Andrews for his continued support.
VP) spoke about PSC and their lack of entrust in illegal operators. This is why we need our own day on the hill to get help with the PSC from a higher position.
VP) introduced our guest speakers for the day and they were
